Hello briankkatz,

Thank you for  contacting us.

Unfortunately it is not possible to convert  8 mm video to DVD using HyperCam or our other products.

Hi howertoneng,

The easiest way to achieve the goal, is to write some comon file like AVI and then conver it with some 3rd party tool. There are dozens. just google AVI to VOB

Hello howertoneng,

We have tested compatibility of different DirectShow MPEG-2 compressors with HyperCam, but HyperCam can not find/use them for some reason.
When we will have the solution, I will post here the link of compressor you need to download.

Thank you for your patience.

Hello howertoneng,

Thank you for your letter.

Unfortunately it is not possible to record directly to e.g. VOB format.

But  you can do it without the reencoding by the following way:

1) Install DirectShow MPEG-2 compressor and set it in HyperCam options.

2) Then change the format of file using your dvd authoring software (e.g. Nero), to change it e.g. from ASF to VOB. It will change the file container, but not the data of the file (video) itself.

Which video codec can i record in, that will be equal to DVD format? I want to be able take the video made from hypercam3, and dump onto a dvd disc using dvd authoring software. But do not wish to sit while it transcodes to dvd format.

Anyone?

thanks
