Totally agree!
The new marker may be friendly for the new users, However, it requires 1-2 more clicks in the workflow compare to version 6.
Now I go back to version 6 for many many reasons.

Video Splitter / How to disable preview while moving mouse in timeline?

When I move my mouse over the timeline, the preview keeps updating.
I've come from version 6 and I think this feature slows down my workflow. Is there any option to turn it off?
