Video Splitter / Aspect ratio problems in Video Splitter

Hi!
Firstly thank you for this great little program that does big things extremely well!
But: I'm trimming PAL TV-programs and find that the aspect ratio is wrong in trimmed files. You can see the difference just by looking the resulting video (of course ) and from the properties of the file being played. These captures are from Windows Media Player 10.
As you can see, the aspect ratio is not all that is lost, also audio & video codec information is gone too.
I think that this has something to do with the functionality which copies file information (title, description etc.) while trimming, since when I try to trim with earlier version of video trimmer without this function aspect ratio remains correct. I studied this issue little and found out that the aspect ratio can be written in many places in a single video file and they have a certain order where one supercedes another. My suspect is ASF headers, because among other things they have a possibility to choose non-square pixels unlike many other header types:

I do think that the copying file info is a very useful function but unfortunately in this case it makes the video image look bad. So could you please take a look into this? If no quick solution is no available could you please add option where user can choose if the header information is copied or not?
Thank you in advance!
