The link
https://plus.google.com/104987703069613209819
took me to Hypercam 3.3 not Video Splitter of AVI Editor
I have done screen-capture recording with other software, but I have never used Hypercam. Are you wanting me to try that, or was the link wrong?

Well, the system is a bit triky. You should be added to Beta Tester Circle to view a content in this cyrcly. So try to add a page to your cyrcles, then I'll see you and put to Testers circly. Something like that  :)

I have no idea how you would succeed at doing mutes on audio part
We'll see, technically it's doable.

A small issue that I am having with the 3.0 version, is that if I take and do edits strictly by using key-frame to key-frame,

Well, I suppose in version 3.0 only AVI files can not be edited with frame accuracy. AVCHD,MKV,MOV,MP4,WMV, MPEG-2,MPEG-1 are all supported with frame accuracy editing.

How it looks like from the poin of view of frames is shown in this clip:

So please use Smart mode, and only a few frames in your movie are re-encoded keeping 99% of initial data not altered.

You would have to have a display showing audio waves
Yes , we are working on that as well.

The Option that I was trying to describe, is where you would drag and drop a new file onto your editor, say the next one in a series, and your programs would keep the same edits in the timeline  (another name for the edits would be the "markers" in "video splitter" or "time fragments" in "avi/mkv trimmer"), that you could then click on each edit, and verify that the edits lined up with the new episode, and then be able to make small adjustments on that file, run the "save" button or the "trim" button or "add task to batch queue", then drag and drop another episode onto the program, same edits  ("markers" or "fragments") display again, and check the edits ("markers" or "fragments"), and so on and so on.

Good idea, we've put it in todo, let's see if that is easy to implement we'll add it shortly.

Another option that would be good for your program "AVI MKV Trimmer", would be an option to be able to resize the video preview window, and to remember screen location of the preview window.  I do realize that this is a free program, and that there really is no options in it, and I do understand that you don't want to distract from your main program, its just a suggestion.

As far as I know both resize is able and window positions keeping, have you experienced some problems with that? could you describe a scenario or make a short video,  you can use HyperCam trial for that

Any chance of getting a code for your version 3.0, you have the option "How to get SolveigMM Video Splitter license for free", I would do any and all beta testing, offer suggestions, and post links to all the many sites that I get videos from, because to me, there is no better video editor that has such promise, as the ones that you are producing. I hope that you guys keep up the wonderful work for many years to come. Even if you don't give me a key for your 3.0 version, I will still do all I can to promote your programs, because your hard work deserves recognition that it is available, and that it may well do all that many people just like me have been looking for, just can't tell all that it can do without full version to your 3.0 or be able to give more complete understanding of its abilities.

flugal, we are alweys welcome to be our betatesters and we really need them and appreciate such help. Spread a world is be also very appreciated. Contact us with your details and we'll send you beta testing keys. At this stage testing of splitting and joingin of MKV/MP4/MOV/AVCHD files would be very helpfull.

I went to
http://www.cccp-project.net/
and they just released a newer version of the combined community codec pack
on 11 11 11, and that fixed the audio issue.
Don't know what codec pack others use, but this one has worked well for me.

Could you tell us what pack di you use, to try to repeate the issue?

in 2001 Divx movies were very popular.. maybe M$ added a antipiracy limitation in XPsp1 to avoid watching high bitrate Divx movies though external devices (CD/DVD/USB)? (remember that this problem is also present when playing video through CD or DVD

LOL   ;D

Don't think so, why don't you upgrade your OS? Obviously you'll get more and more problems as MS ceased a support.

Hi Nuser,

We've merged 2.4 with 3.0.
So, 3.0 has all 2.4 had + all 2.6 have + some new features like visual timeline and MOV files support.

Hi howertoneng,

The easiest way to achieve the goal, is to write some comon file like AVI and then conver it with some 3rd party tool. There are dozens. just google AVI to VOB
