SolveigMM Video Editing SDK / SDK Demo for MP4 HEVC Editing, 64 Bits

Hello all,

In case you are interested in smart editing of HEVC  MP4, Transport Stream files with our SDK, we prepared some preliminary demo.
please test it and send us your feedback/questions.

Here is updated 64 bits SDK to support MP4 with HEVC frame accuracy editing.

for testing please use command line tool SMM_BatchSplit.exe.

Example of command line string:

Всем привет,

да действительно, много поступало жалоб на изменения в дизайне. попробуем пояснить зачем это сделано.

в 6й версии мы сделали переход от работы с одним файлом на таймлайне к множеству файлов на едином таймлайне.
для этого мы вынуждены были поменять всю логику работы программы. с дальнейшим расширением - наложения эффектов и переходов, мы так и так уперлись бы в новый интерфейс.
к сожалению это необходимое зло для дальнейшего развития. поддерживать одновременно старый и новый интерфейс конечно возможно, но сложно по ресурсам.

все что мы можем делать, это максимально улушить новый интерфейс на основе пожеланий наших клиентов. что мы и пытаемся делать.

I wish to have the possibility to play a video faster: 2x,3x,4x. Its possible to jump in the video, but that's not the same.

The storyboard pictureview is good, but should could be organized in more lines, (or second Monitor or window) that would show incoming scenes earlier and would offer more overview.

Not sure if I got the idea. Could you give some example in screenshot?

The zoom function is good, but I wish to have one or two more between 1s and picturemode: half second and qarter second for example.

Also it would be nice to have a really display zoomfunction at the pitcurepreview, because the thumbs are tiny in a longer run, if you want to find the right scenes.

Do you mean Zoom of thumbnails in timeline?

The film holestrips on both sides are a nice gimmick but not necessary and rather hindering.

Which ones?

Btw today we updated the verison with some modifications. zoom and video/audio swithchers went down. Please have a look.

мы не используем ffmeg.  вернее используем для совсем редких случаем. у нас свой движок. как тему переименовать?

Мы сегодня переезжали на новый хостинг.  база с форума была скопирована вчера, соответственно за один день даные потерялись. пока смотрим как их восстановить. приносим свои извинения.
Критические посты мы не стираем, вот увидите как долго провисит Ваш про опус, кстати, мы поняли. будем курить тему

на эмоциональную часть (вполне понятную, кстати) разрешите ответить песней -

Hi Boyd,

The normal version of the splitter doesn't allow having two versions at the same time.
But you can instal a portable version to different folders. they should operate fine.

Zond 265, ver. 2, with a bunch of new features is released and available for evaluation at http://www.solveigmm.com/en/products/zond/

The highlights:

- Detection of HEVC stream errors. Available in “Error” tab and as CLI report
- H.264/AVC support in release mode
- Mac OS X version of Zond for HEVC streams

Additional features include:

- Support of MPEG-2 Transport Stream for HEVC/H.265 and AVC/H.264 streams
- Compatible with the reference software HM 16.2
- Support of 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:0:0 chroma format for HEVC

Zond 265 / where frame statistics include the number of Intra and Inter modes?

Hello,

Quite often we get different questions of how ZOND shows this and that.

For example -  Can you please tell me if the frame statistics you do include the number of Intra and Inter modes in the frame?

1 - Switching on "prediction partition" layout you can visually see types of CUs. All red CUs are intra and the rest are inter ones.

2 - In "frame statistics" tab it's shown intra/inter CU types info as a percentage ratio and a number of pixels they take

3 - In "elements" list  you can see "intra pred modes" to shows a number of bits intra modes take in the frame. Inter mode consists of mvd + merge_idx + merge_flag + inter_dir_pu + mvp_flag + ref_idx elements

Zond 265, HEVC Analyzer version 1.9 is out
The new edition of the software was primarily unveiled during the IBC 2014 exhibition in Amsterdam on September 12 – 16.

Features and improvements:

- Optimized processing of 4K files. The new Zond 265 reveals fivefold speed-up in handling UltraHD 4K files (as tested on PC Intel Core i7-2600 3.4GHz, 16GB RAM, Windows 7 x64)
- H.264/AVC video elementary streams are now supported in beta mode.

- Compatibility with the reference software HM 14
- CLI reports can now have CU data for entire frame as well as frame and stream statistics
- Different stages of picture decoding in command line mode (final, after deblock, before deblock, residual, predicted) can now be saved as YUV files
- Resizable layout. The minimal width limitation has been discarded.
