Video Splitter / Re: Need Help with Joining After Editing

Ah, boy!  I had the problem again, a little differently in this case:

As you can see, there is no difference between the two .MP4s except for the resolution.

Perhaps the rez of the second clip could be lowered to match that of the first...?  How do I change the resolution of a video?

Okay, so how can I do what I'm describing, from an .MKV source?

Video Splitter / Need Help with Joining After Editing
« on: March 28, 2016, 07:19:29 PM »
I want to join two consecutive clips, the second clip containing only its original audio, cutting the original video-track out, see?

Here's the first of the two clips, with original source audio & video, no problem:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19002945/In%20the%20Mouth%20of%20Madness%20%5B1994%5D%20%5BBlu%20Ray%3B%201080p%5D_Trim1a.mkv

The next of the two clips
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19002945/In%20the%20Mouth%20of%20Madness%20%5B1994%5D%20%5BBlu%20Ray%3B%201080p%5D_Trim1b1.mkv
like the previous one, contains its original audio & video tracks.

I eventually worked out how to remove the video-track, leaving the audio only, like so:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19002945/In%20the%20Mouth%20of%20Madness%20%5B1994%5D%20%5BBlu%20Ray%3B%201080p%5D_Trim1b2.mkv
So far, so good, I thought.  But when I tried to Join them using the Splitter's Join Manager, it said that they couldn't be joined because of the second having no video-track.

I thought maybe if I could somehow add a blank video-track to the second clip, it would make the Join Manager work, but I don't know how to do that either.  :P

Please help!

Video Splitter / Need Help with Effects in Scene Editing
« on: April 18, 2014, 01:59:31 PM »
This is the whole scene, labeled (after the name) as '_Trim1ab' (.MKV, 48.4MB):
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/ndht62f1cxqybty/Batman%20%5B1989%5D%20%5BBlu%20Ray%3B%20720p%5D_Trim1ab.mkv
And here's a smaller clip of the trim, labeled '_Trim1a' (.MKV, 46.3MB):
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/337z4ygmv2125kc/Batman%20%5B1989%5D%20%5BBlu%20Ray%3B%20720p%5D_Trim1a.mkv

See Trim1a.  At it's end, before cutting to the next setting as seen in the Trim1ab video, marks the last place I'll need the video to show.  But what I need thereafter is, at least, not only for the video to blackout, as like an instant, immediate "fade-out" while only the sounds from the previous scene (such as Jack Napier's/The Joker's maniacal laughter) continue, the whole trim ending perhaps a portion of a second thereafter.

How do I do this?  I already know how to join two videos already, if need be....

Video Splitter / Capture Embedded Subtitles into Trimmed Clip?
« on: April 09, 2014, 02:29:14 AM »
The audio & video remain in a clip automatically, by default.  How are whatever subtitles embedded in the source video-file also retained in a trim?

I most typically work with .MKVs, .MP4s, and .AVIs.

Thanks in advance!
