Video Splitter / SolveigM Business edition suddenly stopped trimming?

Hi
I was using this brilliant program just fine until today. There were no changes I can think of, but it just pauses and does nothing once the markers have selected a section and turned 'gold' then 'trim' is clicked?
I also tried resetting the prefs to default, but no change?
