I'm just wondering if the file was downloaded by SolveigMM?  I'll take it offline soon rather than leaving it with open access.

Please confirm if you have taken a copy of it.
Thanks.

Hello Olga, thanks for the reply.

I tried the v4 Beta, but it did not fix the sync problem.  I'm uploading the original file (174MB) to Google Drive, as well as the project file.
I'll post back here when it is done, and give the link details.

EDIT:  The link to the Google Drive folder is here.  The files have been renamed since I saved the project, hopefully you can correct that if it causes a problem.

Dear CharlesC,

Thank you for your post.

Some issues with asyc of output AVi files were corrected in the beta version of Video Splitter 4 available here.

Please try to reinstall the product.
If the reinstallation will not help then please upload for us the input file you have editied in the product. You can use any file host service to upload it,  e.g Dropbox.com or Google drive.

Also please create the project file from the Video Splitter.  To get ut select fragments for saving then go to  File -> Save project as.

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Olga Krovyakova

I took one of the avi files that wasn't being handled by SolveigMM to another older PC (XP, VirtualDub 1.66) and it handled the editing job correctly.  No loss of sync.

The only difference was that I made the edit points with VirtualDub on K-frames.  However I did try that with SolveigMM and it made no difference, the audio still had sync issues.

I was playing around with SolveigMM at version 3, but am used to programs that give frame level editing (VideoReDo for MPG-2 and MPG-4).  So when I saw SolveigMM v4 seemed to handle frame level editing of avi (not just at K-frames) I purchased it after trying a number of files and seeing that it seemed to perform.

Audio/Video sync issues will be a deal breaker on this.

I am getting a number of audio sync issues while editing out some sketches from a comedy series. The files are all older avi (typical details below). It doesn't happen to all of them, so far maybe 15%.  And the sync is less than about 1 second out.  It starts off correctly, then seems to be incorrect later.  I don't think that the change is gradual, but I may be mistaken.  It seems like it is correct up to a certain point, then jumps a bit and is out from then on.

I have seen the problem in two separate source files so far.  The other twenty or more other ones appear to edit correctly.

I saw a note in the forum to try setting Control, Obey Sample Times,  but if I do this the output avi has no audio at all.

Any suggestions as to what to try?
