Hi ..

Thanks for your reply ..

I have recorded a 3 minute clip for you .. This is exactly as captured by my recorder ... I don't have an option in there to change the recording format.

Code: [Select]

I couldn't split an existing file to send you .... because all I got was a blank screen!  :)

Hope this helps ....

Hi Mavis,

Sorry for delayed answer. At the present moment we cant say exactly what is a reason of the issue, but the file is played back if ffdhow decoder with XVID support is installed.
To figure out the roots of the problem we need an original file that is played back properly on your side.

I've been trying a few things myself ..

I also have your WMP plugin and your freeware AVI splitter, and using the same file, both of those save and play beautifully in Media Player. Also what is strange, is that I can make a couple of random cuts in the video splitter, and save, and (most of the time) it saves and plays, but when I make three or four cuts, to edit out adverts, we're back to the blank screen again.

Hi ..

Have you managed to take a look at the file I uploaded for you?

Is it possible it's the audio codec causing problems, because I've been doing a few experiments, and if I take an original fle (same specs as my first example) and run it through a converter, converting only the audio track part to MP3, then put it through your splitter, I can play the finished file .... and the Audio source is the only thing that has changed.  ???

Hi ..

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I'm having trouble clipping a piece of only 1MB, even about 2 seconds is over 4 MB. Can I upload it to Rapidshare or Megaupload  for you?

Sure, upload it at any place. for example www.yousendit.com or those you enumerated

Sorry ..

Previous post wouldn't let me modify ...

Or if you let me have an address, I can FTP it.

Hi Mavis,

Thank you for feedback. Yes that seems to be quite queer. Could you trim a part about 1 MB and send it us by email?
