Hello Michael,

Thank you for contacting us.

Please try to use the latest 3.6 version of Video Splitter.

http://www.solveigmm.com/download/SolveigMM_Video_Splitter.exe

If this version will not help, please upload for us the sample of original file that you have tried to edit (e.g. to dropbox.com or filedropper.com) and send us please the project file.
When you choose the fragments for saving go to “File -> Save project as”.

Log files will be also helpful for us. Here is short guideline on how to get them:

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Olga Krovyakova

When I edit a file I converted from wtv to MKV MPEG4 AVC + AAC audio (using MCE Buddy), there are two problems with editing the file with Video Splitter v3.5.1212.12 (latest demo download).

1) audio track is visibly *much* shorter than the video so I strongly suspect that there will be sync problems in the edited file. Is there a way to adjust this to force the audio total length match the video length? Perhaps the frame rate of one or the other?

2) The process takes my start and end points and then appears to "hang" at 86% after fairly quick processing up to that point. I had the same problem with the free AVI Trimmer + MKV 2 as well.

The file has 2 streams, a video stream and an audio stream. The file is 512,772,206 bytes (489MB).

The video codec is (per VLC):
Codec: H.264-MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (AVC1)
Resolution: 704x384
Frame Rate: 29.970628
Decoded Format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV

The audio codec is:
Codec: MPEG AAC (mp4a)
Channels: Stereo
Sample Rate: 48000 Hz

I would buy the product if the above items could be addressed. Basically, I'm trying to trim off the leading commercials/intro and trailing commercials/intro from OTA HD ATSC recorded shows after they've been converted to MP4.

I can see about recording a smaller file to see if the same problem occurs and post it if needed.
