You can try to use the Video Splitter version available at this link.
Please note that this is the beta version and supports saving subtitles for some MKV files.

The audio & video remain in a clip automatically, by default. How are whatever subtitles embedded in the source video-file also retained in a trim?
I most typically work with .MKVs, .MP4s, and .AVIs.
