Yes that worked...thanks! BUT...
After that trim was completed I saved the new file with the recommended name and VOB extention. I then tried to reopen the new trimmed VOB file and I got an error message "Unknown exception detected" and then an info message that said "Source file is not supported or damaged"
Questions/Comments:
1. Am I not able to trim and retrim the same VOB file?
2. When I click on this new VOB it opens another (I guess default) program, Windows Live Photo Gallery, and it starts playing from the very beginning of another part of the entire (58 minute) video that was shot on an older camcorder to a mini-tape which I had put on a DVD and then I moved those files to a directory on my computer. I don't see any of the edits I made when it gets to the part where it appeared Splitter was editing.
Originally, in this directory there was 2 small BUP files, 2 small IFO files, and 4 VOB files (two in a few KBytes and 2 large 1 gig files. I can click on any of the VOB files and I get the same 58min video. If I click on either of the of the IFO files it opens WMP and starts playing the whole video, chapter by chapter.
3. BTW....after using Splitter there was two extra files in this directory, both with a .mlmix ending
SORRY!..I'm totally new to all of this! I don't understand all these files, nor your program!
