We have tested the lates buit of 6.0.1608.24 version and would like to let you know that it works ok at our side with Windows XP.
Some time ago with have fixed the bug with installation of VS 6 on Windows XP, possibly, it is your case.

Hi. Just tried to work with latest Beta build (28/08/2016), but it doesnt run on my Windows XP.
It errors with "entry point in procedure InitializeCriticalSectionEx not found in DLL KERNEL32.DLL".
Windows XP does not have this procedure. Please fix it if you aren't planning to drop XP support for the next versions.
Latest stable build (19/08/2016) still supports XP.
