Hello njb,

The MOV files, that you have sent us now play in Video Splitter 4 beta.

In this version was added support of JPEG video codec for MOV files, which your files have.

You can try it from the link below:

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Again,
I wanted to give you an update that may help you narrow down a solution to the problem of some .mov files playing while others do not. I did some troubleshooting and here is what I came up with (please download 3 new drop box files so you can duplicate it):

1. This file, from my Nikon Coolpix camera, plays fine in Video Splitter:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/74kxx5rsjxor7rx/Coolpix-plays%20fine.MOV

2. This file plays fine, which was a sample file from Quicktime:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/krdw8cctapiakqh/Sample01Plays%20fine.mov

3. This file, from my Panasonic Lumix camera, shows a sound track but does not play any video (it plays fine, however, in Quicktime player):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1hr3aja0aiur10p/Lumix-Sound%20but%20no%20video.MOV

I hope that this helps you to find and resolve the issue. i am looking forward to your response.

Thanks in advance:)
njb

Hello njb,

Thank you for your post.
Please try to open your file in the beta version:

http://solveigmm.com/download/SolveigMM_Video_Splitter_3_7_Beta.exe

If the problem remains, it will be helpful for us you could upload your file to any file host service, e.g. dropbox.com or filedropper.com for we could reproduce and fix the problem on our end.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
I just upgraded to version 3.6.1301.15 to specifically edit .mov files. When I ope the file, no video plays and I just get a blank screen. I tested the .mov file by double clicking it and Quicktime plays it fine. Please let me know how
i can resolve this problem because I love using SolviegMM Video Splitter because it is so easy to use and intuitive.
Thanks in advance,
njb
