Hello WinstonSmith6079,

Thank you for your post.
If I have understood you correctly you would like to fade-out some fragment at the end of the video and would like to stay the sound of this fragment.
If so, Video Splitter regrettably doesn't support such feature at the present time.
We will possibly add it to the product's next releases.
If such feature appear I'll post here.

This is the whole scene, labeled (after the name) as '_Trim1ab' (.MKV, 48.4MB):

And here's a smaller clip of the trim, labeled '_Trim1a' (.MKV, 46.3MB):

See Trim1a.  At it's end, before cutting to the next setting as seen in the Trim1ab video, marks the last place I'll need the video to show.  But what I need thereafter is, at least, not only for the video to blackout, as like an instant, immediate "fade-out" while only the sounds from the previous scene (such as Jack Napier's/The Joker's maniacal laughter) continue, the whole trim ending perhaps a portion of a second thereafter.

How do I do this?  I already know how to join two videos already, if need be....
