How can I change the settings in the h264 Codec

Please let me explain, that it is recommended to use default settings for the smart trimming, and change them only if the output file is incorrect or can not be processed at all. Also, please keep in mind, that the most part of "Custom" encoders are set up by the software itself, based on the source file parameters and they don't have public property pages.

I am new here in this forum and hope, somebody could help me with my request
If I go in options and choose "Smart Mode settings" (I hope, these are the right designations, because I use the german version of "SolveigMM Video Splitter), normally I use the "x264 encoder(Custom).
But I am thinking about it, where I could change the quality settings in this encoder.
With the option "Properties" (hope again, it´s the right designation) below, nothing happens, if I mark this x264 encoder before.

Maybe someone would have a hint for me:)
I would be really very thankful for any help.
