Hello Stanislav

Re: Did you mean save selected Option "Tools->SmartMode" when close and open the program?

Yes, either saving the setup when closing the program, or better, make a small configurable setup menu,
containing common settings as maximized/windowed, smart mode on/off ect.
Best regards

A small request: Could you please add some user selectable default values ("smart mode" on/off ect.).
Did you mean save selected Option "Tools->SmartMode" when close and open the program?

I have some additional info.
On my pc the problem only seems to occur when the file contains avc video ( mp4 or mkv container).
Stepping with the marker when video is paused, only move the marker, the preview does not follow.
And, yes, the problem disappears when the video acceleration is turned off.
Windows Xp / ATI HD4350 graphics.
I have previously reported the following problem with wvc1 video content: The ”jump to next keyframe” buttons (forward/backward) only work once.
Further pressing the buttons, only move the marker, the preview does not follow.
This problem also disappear when the video acceleration is turned off.
Best regards

Thanks for info about Hardware acceleration. When it will be fixed we will post in the pointed thread.

Hello Stanislav
Strange.... I can't reproduce the fault either.
I will let you know if it occurs again.
And the joiner works perfectly in the new version. ;)

A small request: Could you please add some user selectable default values ("smart mode" on/off ect.).

1)If "smart mode" is on, the bug is still present.

Could you check again? I use WMP Preferences - it shows Aspect "4:3 actual, 1.78:1 displayed" as the source one. The source file is "4-1440x1080-Wmv3-PixAR1,333.wmv"

Specify test environment (OS version,  Windows Media Player version)
Exact start time of trimm.
Also, please, look at Video Splitter with opened file
Tools->Preferences at the right down corner "Copy Info To Clipboard" and paste it here or send by letter to support (dog) solveigmm.com

Should be fixed in recent beta Video Splitter 2.4.1108.11

Waiting for you reply,
Thanks.

Hello Stanislav.
The bug is only partly fixed in v2.4.1107.13.
1) If "smart mode" is on, the bug is still present.
2) The file joiner has not been fixed, and produce the same wrong frame aspect ratio.

The audio bit rate is ok now.

Hello Olga
I use version 2.4.1106.21, which I believe is the latest.
The files can be downloaded here: https://www.rapidshare.com/files/79914751/Wmv3.7z
I don't know the splitting time, you must look at the splitted parts, which are also included.
Concerning the audio bitrate bug, you can use MPC-HC file properties or Mediainfo to compare the original file with the splitted ones...
Best regards

Thank you.

After trimming a .wmv file with the new v2.4, I notice that 2 old bugs remain.
1) Trimming a .wmv file with a pixel aspect ratio different from 1, will result  in wrong frame aspect ratio in the output file.
2) The readout of the audio bitrate, in the output file, is completely wrong.
I can re-send the files if wanted.
Best regards
