Hello calefactory,
Thank you for your post.
- What is the most efficient way to split a large video file into multiple small segments of equal length?
You can use the file slicing feature of Video Splitter. It is available from Tools / Slicing menu.
More information on how to slice video into parts is available in this step-by-step guideline:
https://www.solveigmm.com/en/howto/how-to-slice-video-by-time-size-or-parts-with-video-splitter/Are there any specific settings or features in SolveigMM Video Splitter that can help improve the speed or quality of the splitting process?
We recommend to use default settings, in Control menu the setting of "Frame Accuracy (Smart Mode)" should be enabled.
I’ve noticed that the audio and video can sometimes get out of sync in the output files. Are there any tips for preventing this issue?
If you edit AVI file, you can try to enable the "Obey Sample Times" setting in the Control menu before the editing start.
If you have this issue for other formats, please send us the original input file and the project file.
You can upload it to any file sharing service, e.g. Google drive (
https://drive.google.com) or Dropbox.com.
To get the project file open the input file in Video Splitter, set fragments for saving and deleting then go to File menu -> Save project as and select folder to save the project file.
Here is the guideline on how to upload files if needed.
https://www.solveigmm.com/en/howto/how-to-upload-files-to-google-drive-or-dropbox-for-free/Are there any recommended file formats or codecs for the output files to ensure maximum compatibility and quality?
Video Splitter preserves the quality of the original input file, so you can edit file of any supported file format and codec.
