Splitter stopped working, asking internet connection, but internet is working

Since several days ago, when opening VideoSplitter I get the message "To verify your license Internet is required" and when I'm pushing the button "Verify" the program closes right away. My Internet is working fine and I do not understand, why the program is not recognizing that. In the meantime the grace days are 0 and I cannot use the splitter anymore.
I'm still using "SolveigMM_Video_Splitter_Home_Edition_x64_7_6_2210_04" as I need only basic features and this worked fine for me so far, untill now this internet issue which stopped me from using.
I deinstalled and reinstalled the program, but on opening it reacts still the same.
How can I get the program working again?
