As a result of a guest speaker with an unusual monitor, our club meeting Zoom recording had an unusual resolution, based on the filename: GMT20220303-232312_Recording_2736x1824.mp4 . I have edited files up to 1920x1080 successfully, but when I try to drag and drop this file into either the splitter timeline, or the Media Library, nothing happens. Nothing is added to the Video splitter display.
Details on my config from Splitter "about":
Solveigmm Video Splitter x64 Home Edition
Installed version 7.6.2201.27
Version 7.6.2201.14
If I do "check update" it tells me I have the latest version.
I'm running Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, with i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz on an ASUS N501VW laptop with 16 GB RAM.
OS: Windows 10 Home, Version 21H2, OS build: 19044.1526, Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0
I get the normal behaviour where the timeline is populated if I drag in an older 1920x1080 file instead. Same for a 1686x768 file.
I don't see anything unusual in the Windows event viewer.
I was looking for a log file, and noticed in ...AppData/Roaming/Solveig Multimedia/SolveigMM Video Splitter Home / Index there are filenames ending in .apk that imply that I have successfully edited larger resolution files in the past, including 2560x1440 and 2048x1152, but none as big as the current troublesome one.
Is this expected behaviour? If not, I can supply the Zoom recording, which is 1,402,747,935 bytes long. The native resolution of the laptop display is 3840x2160, and I will do further experiments to see if I can reproduce the problem with smaller files and different resolutions, and will update this ticket.
