Please use the latest Video Splitter beta from the link below. Will you get the same results if you reproduce such issue with Video Splitter and AVI Trimmer + MKV?

Well, I discovered one problem--I was trying to use AVI Trimmer instead of Video Splitter Home Edition. When I went back and tried again, it worked fine.  Oops.   :-[

I was editing an .m4a file and things were going wonderfully.  After I quit out of the file and played it using Windows Media Player, I decided to trim off a little more.  When I opened AVI Trimmer and tried to reopen the file, I received the subject error message.  I tried to open other files that opened previously, and NONE would open--but they all open and play fine in Windows Media Player.

Help! :'(
